Nocturnist Opportunity

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix (BUMCP) seeks board-certified/board-eligible academic Hospitalists to join our distinguished Division of Hospital Medicine. As Arizona's largest academic medical center with over 650 beds, BUMCP serves as a Level I trauma and transplant center, providing exceptional opportunities for clinical excellence, teaching, and scholarly work.

Position Highlights

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient care in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Manage high-acuity patients with multidisciplinary support
  • Work alongside advanced practice providers
  • Shift-based schedule: 15 twelve-hour shifts per month
  • Night shift position

Academic Opportunities:

  • Faculty appointment with the University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix
  • Direct teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students

Qualifications

Required:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Arizona

  • Experience in academic or teaching hospital settings
  • Track record in medical education, quality improvement, or research
  • Leadership experience or clinician-educator background
  • Experience collaborating with advanced practice providers
  • Spanish language proficiency
