Now Hiring: Director of Engineering (MEP)

AppleOne is partnering with a well-established and growing MEP engineering firm in Miami to identify a Director of Engineering (MEP) to lead internal production, drive technical excellence, and oversee multi-discipline project delivery.
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role working closely with ownership to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
?? What You’ll Be Doing:
Oversee daily production across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) disciplines
Act as the primary point of contact for active projects, including attending coordination & OAC meetings
Lead and support discipline team leads (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing)
Serve as the escalation point for technical and coordination challenges
Balance team workload and staffing across multiple projects
Enforce and elevate QA/QC standards and drawing quality
Lead weekly production meetings and ensure alignment on deadlines
Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
?? Qualifications:
10+ years of MEP design experience
Florida PE license (preferred or in progress)
Strong background in at least one discipline (multi-discipline experience preferred)
Prior experience leading teams and/or managing projects
Proficiency in Revit with strong multi-discipline coordination understanding
Strong communication and decision-making skills
High-rise building experience is required
?? Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
401(k) offered
