SAP Controls Consultant Location: Remote

Job Summary STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP Controls Consultant on behalf of our client in Remote . This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, assessment, and optimization of SAP controls, governance, risk, and compliance processes across SAP environments.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP security, application controls, IT General Controls (ITGCs), Segregation of Duties (SoD), and regulatory compliance to help strengthen control frameworks and support audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, evaluate, and enhance SAP application controls and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) assessments, risk analysis, and remediation activities.
• Support SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, including access management and control monitoring.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, and Compliance teams to ensure effective control design and operation.
• Review SAP security roles, user access, and authorization structures to identify and mitigate risks.
• Support SOX compliance activities, audits, control testing, and remediation efforts.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify opportunities to strengthen governance and compliance processes.
• Develop and maintain control documentation, risk-control matrices, and audit support materials.
• Provide recommendations to improve control effectiveness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Support SAP transformation and enhancement initiatives by integrating controls and compliance requirements into solution design.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Controls, SAP Security, SAP GRC, IT Audit, Risk Management, or Compliance.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
• Solid understanding of SAP security concepts, authorization management, and access governance.
• Experience implementing and assessing SAP application controls and IT General Controls (ITGCs).
• Strong knowledge of Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles and risk mitigation strategies.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance programs and audit activities.
• Strong understanding of business process controls across key SAP business functions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a collaborative remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP GRC Process Control and Risk Management modules.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation projects.
• Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks such as SOX, GDPR, ISO 27001, COBIT, or NIST.
• Professional certifications such as SAP GRC, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or related credentials.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Life Sciences.
