Job Description

The Marketing & Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies while fostering meaningful community partnerships that align with Damian Family Care Center’s mission. This role blends digital marketing, content creation, and hands-on community engagement to promote services, enhance brand visibility, and connect underserved populations to accessible, high-quality healthcare.

Essential Job Duties

The Specialist serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring culturally competent, consistent, and compliant messaging across all platforms and community interactions.

  • Develop, implement, and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, print, and community-based) aligned with organizational goals
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive marketing calendar and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously
  • Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to improve engagement and ROI
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all organizational platforms
  • Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging content across social media platforms
  • Monitor trends and adjust strategy to maximize visibility and engagement
  • Respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner to foster community engagement
  • Track analytics and prepare performance reports
  • Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and SEO optimization
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to improve user experience
  • Monitor website performance, traffic, and conversion metrics and implement improvements
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to engage community members and organizations
  • Coordinate, attend, and actively participate in community events, health fairs, and outreach initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders
  • Represent DFCC as a professional and culturally competent brand ambassador
  • Gather and communicate community feedback to inform organizational programs and services
  • Write, edit, and develop content for marketing materials, social media, newsletters, and outreach campaigns
  • Create or oversee development of visual content (graphics, photos, videos)
  • Ensure messaging is culturally relevant, inclusive, and aligned with DFCC’s mission and brand
  • Track and analyze marketing, outreach, and digital performance metrics
  • Prepare reports with actionable insights for leadership
  • Utilize data to refine strategies and improve effectiveness
  • Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with minimal supervision
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders
  • Travel between DFCC sites and community locations as required
  • Represent the organization professionally in both internal and public-facing settings

Non-Essential Functions

  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with special projects, organizational events, and strategic initiatives
  • Provide administrative support to the department as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, Public Relations, or related field or
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, social media, website management, or community outreach
  • Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based organizations
  • Experience with social media analytics or marketing campaigns, content creation tools
  • Excellent relationship building, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creativity and storytelling
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) CRM systems, and email marketing platforms, is a plus
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Spanish strongly preferred)

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via virtual platforms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Visual acuity required for reviewing data and documentation on computer screens.
  • Occasional travel between clinic locations may be required.
