Job Description

 Position requires you to be at least 21 years of age, have access to a personal vehicle, have a high school diploma and practical experience with youth.

We are looking for a Residential Child Care Worker/Youth Advocate to work amongst YSB’s Residential programs–Stormbreak Girl’s Group Home, Burrowes Street Youth Haven and the Supportive Independent Living Program. Some of the position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Care for and supervise youth, ensure safety, mediate conflicts, provide meals, administer medication as needed, and transport youth to appointments and/or school as necessary
• Provide assistance to program residents to improve or enhance skills in areas such as anger management, problem solving, decision-making, time management, strengthening peer relations, increasing employ ability, and goal setting and achievement
• Assisting in individual, family, or group counseling
• Participating in recreational activities
• This position is primarily for the overnight shift from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The hourly pay rate of $1 more per hour than for a daytime position.
